7 Steps to Perfect Document Preparation

Step 1: Start Early

Begin collecting documents at least 4 weeks before the expected reporting date to avoid last-minute delays.

Step 2: Prepare Multiple Sets

Make at least 3 sets of clear photocopies of every original document required.

Step 3: Self-Attestation

Sign each photocopy with your name, date, and 'True copy of original' using blue or black ink.

Step 4: Photograph Requirements

Photos must be recent (within 3 months), have a white background, clearly showing your face. Carry at least 10 identical copies.

Step 5: Check Validity

Ensure your domicile, caste/category, and PwD certificates are valid and have not expired as per WBMCC rules.

Step 6: Digital Copies

Keep properly scanned PDF copies of all documents on your phone or email for quick reference and form filling.

Step 7: Organize in a Folder

Arrange documents in the exact same order as the checklist above. Use labeled file dividers for rapid access during the verification process.

1. How many photocopies of each document should I carry?
At least 3 sets of self-attested photocopies, along with all the originals.
2. What if my MBBS degree certificate has not been issued yet?
Carry the Provisional Pass Certificate issued by your university. It is accepted in lieu of the final degree certificate during admission.

Only for candidates whose previous qualifying degree (e.g., 10+2 board or MBBS degree) is from a university or board other than WBUHS/WBCHSE.
4. What is an anti-ragging undertaking and where do I get it?
It is a declaration by the student and parent/guardian not to engage in ragging. The official format is provided by GIMSH at the time of admission, or you can download it from the quick links on our website.
5. Can I submit photocopies instead of originals at reporting?
No. Original documents must be presented for verification. They will be safely returned to you after the verification process is complete.

You must contact the GIMSH Admissions Office in advance at 7797662222 to discuss the situation. Missing critical documents may delay or jeopardize your admission.
