GIMSH offers 200 MBBS seats per year, distributed across State Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota categories. The college is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC), ensuring that the MBBS degree awarded is recognized across India and internationally.

10-Step MBBS Admission Process

The admission process at GIMSH follows the centralized WBMCC counseling system. Follow these steps from NEET qualification to joining GIMSH.

Step 1: Qualify NEET UG

Appear in the NEET UG exam conducted by NTA in May. Check results in June. Ensure you achieve the minimum qualifying percentile.

Step 2: Check Your Eligibility

Verify your academic marks, age, and WB domicile status. Check the WBMCC provisional merit list on wbmcc.nic.in to assess your rank.

Step 3: Register on WBMCC Portal

Create an account on the WBMCC portal using your NEET Roll Number and Application Number. Select "New Registration".

Step 4: Pay Counseling Registration Fee

Pay the non-refundable registration fee online via cards, net banking, or UPI. Save the confirmation receipt.

Step 5: Upload Documents for Verification

Upload scanned, legible copies of all required documents in the prescribed format. Incorrect uploads may cause rejection.

Step 6: Attend Document Verification

Physically attend the WBMCC verification center with all original documents and self-attested photocopies. Essential for choice filling.

Step 7: Fill College Preferences (Choice Filling)

Add GIMSH as your top preference under the appropriate quota. Lock your choices before the deadline.

Step 8: Seat Allotment Result

Check the portal for your allotment result based on your NEET rank, category, and locked choices.

Step 9: Accept Allotment & Pay Seat Acceptance Fee

If GIMSH is allotted, log in to accept the allotment and pay the seat acceptance fee to confirm your intent to join.

Step 10: Report to GIMSH & Complete Admission

Report to GIMSH Admission Office within the stipulated window. Submit originals, undergo verification, and pay first-year fees.
