10-Step Admission Process

Step 1: Appear for NEET PG 2026

Register and appear for NEET PG 2026 conducted by NBEMS. Check natboard.edu.in for schedule.

Step 2: Check NEET PG Results & Qualifying Status

Verify AIR, percentile, and qualifying status on the official NBEMS website.

Step 3: Register for WBMCC PG Counseling

Visit wbmcc.nic.in. Enter NEET PG details, personal info, and pay the non-refundable counseling fee.

Step 4: Document Verification

Attend the WBMCC verification center with originals and photocopies on the scheduled date.

Step 5: Fill & Lock Choices

Log in to the WBMCC portal. Fill preferred colleges/specialties. Add GIMSH as high-priority choice. Lock before deadline.

Step 6: Seat Allotment Result

WBMCC publishes the allotment result. Check your status using your NEET PG roll number.

Step 7: Accept Allotment & Pay Seat Acceptance Fee

Accept the allotted seat on the WBMCC portal and pay the seat acceptance fee within the stipulated time.

Step 8: Report to GIMSH for Admission

Report to the GIMSH Admissions Office within the reporting window with all original documents.

Step 9: Document Submission & Verification at GIMSH

Submit all original documents for final verification at the Admissions Office.

Step 10: Fee Payment & Enrollment

Pay the prescribed fees. Receive your enrollment number. You are now formally enrolled as a PG student at GIMSH.

Yes. NEET PG is mandatory for all MD/MS admissions in India.
2. What is the difference between State Quota and Management Quota?
State Quota (50%) is filled via WBMCC counseling based on NEET PG merit. Management Quota is filled via GIMSH Admissions Committee. Management Quota fees are higher.
3. Can candidates from other states apply?
Yes, for Management Quota seats. State quota requires WB domicile as per WBMCC norms.

5. What happens if I do not report after allotment?
