The MD (Doctor of Medicine) program in Pediatrics at Gouri Devi Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital (GIMSH) is meticulously crafted to prepare compassionate and competent pediatricians capable of providing comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents. Throughout the MD Pediatrics program at GIMSH, students undergo comprehensive training encompassing various aspects of pediatric medicine, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric diseases and disorders. The curriculum is designed to cover a wide range of pediatric specialties, including neonatology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric neurology, pediatric oncology, and pediatric emergency medicine.

Hands-on clinical experience is a key component of the MD Pediatrics program at GIMSH. Under the guidance of experienced pediatricians and faculty members, students actively participate in clinical rotations, pediatric ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and pediatric emergencies. This experiential learning approach not only enhances students’ clinical skills but also fosters empathy, communication, and professionalism in their interactions with pediatric patients and their families.

Doctor of Medicine (MD) course can be pursued after completion of MBBS degree. Candidates have to complete a 1-year mandatory internship during the programme. Overall, the duration of the MD course is for 3 years. During the programme, students will be researching, conducting experiments, developing different medicinal solutions, and learning other treatment processes for certain diseases. It makes aspirants truly a master and a medical expert. To get admission into the Doctor of Medicine course, aspirants have to clear any one of the entrance exams from NEET PG.
