Eligibility & Age Limit

MBBS admission in West Bengal is done on the basis of marks secured in the entrance examination. The entrance examination is conducted by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). The selection of candidates for MBBS admission in West Bengal is based on their performance in the entrance examination.

The admission procedure for MBBS course in West Bengal include:

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects from any recognized board.
  • The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination.
  • The candidates must have appeared for NEET UG and secured a valid scorecard.
  • The candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
  • The candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC category must have completed 18 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
  • The MBBS admission procedure will be initiated after the declaration of NEET UG results.
  • The counselling for MBBS courses will be done on the basis of merit rank secured by the candidates in NEET UG.
